Luckily these are the things I use most but still. Flash, Firefox, The Sims, mIRC, Office XP, Doom, Dungeon Keeper 2, WinRAR, and WinAmp. You wave your fist angrily at me for being a dumb fool that I think stuff would run. Other than these I found almost no problems. Its a beta build so it actually froze when doing many things. Sometimes I'd get a BSOD when installing hacked programs (Flash for example or Firefox 10 hacked). If I was on the computer for 6 hours it was fine. If I left the computer idling for more than 6 hours it would freeze. The obvious problem before was that Aero and the taskbar were using up to much RAM.

With Longhorn I was able to get my school work done and talk in my favourite chat rooms. After I got the hacked driver which removed the operating system check the driver installed and worked fine. I had to look up a hacked version of the 9800PRO's driver. WinRAR wouldn't work unless it was a 3.0 version, not a 4.0 very. The main problem was that mIRC said it didn't support Windows XP SP1 so I used mIRC 6.xx to get it running. mIRC, The Sims Complete Collection, Office, WinRAR, a torrent client, and IMGBurn. I was going to need a few programs to keep me occupied. It was going to be a month before I could get a new motherboard for my computer. I think it took about 2 hours (thanks 2x CD Drive) and then it booted up. Other than that, it worked fine except for running some games. When using this build I found that the early "Aero" effects type stuff caused memory leaks. Though this was in the back of my head the whole time, I actually grew to love this build.

I was concerned that none of my programs would run. I needed a computer immediately and thought of my Pentium 4 Longhorn Build 4029 desktop.

It was my only option.Ībout two months ago my main Windows 7 desktop died. I know what your going to say "Longhorn isn't designed for Daily Use" Well.
